The main intention of this group is to instigate and rekindle the spirit of service in every citizen. We can continue with our day-to-day life and still can work for positive and progressive changes in our society. Encourage people to form as groups with friends and like minded people and work towards attainable goals.

NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE IN THE WORLD, IF YOU HAVE DECIDED TO DO SOMETHING DEEP FROM YOUR HEART, YOU CAN DO IT. IT IS THE THOUGHT THAT MATTERS NOT WHERE YOU ARE OR WHERE THE PERSON IS.

We helped a poor family for Nellore who admitted their youngest son, Nagoor, in Govt. Children's Hospital, Egmore. Unfortunately the boy died.

Arun visited Kanchi Kamakoti Hospital to find the details of a baby girl admitted for the treatment of brain cancer.

We are trying to raise funds for KKS Orphanage in Chennai to buy milktins for infants and also for the heart operation of a 3 month old baby girl.

Events

On Sunday, 15th of July, Arun and his colleagues at Amandasoft visited KKS Orphanage.

Arun's description of the visit:

On sunday evening, five of us visited the Angel's home, the kids wing of KKSS. They have explained us how they started and all their activities spanning women, kids, community. In each category they are running many Homes. Angel home is one of them.

After the brief explanation, we entered the kids rooms. Each one is a wonderful room decorated, painted and equipped considering all the requirements of a kid. The rooms are very comfortable. Common people like us do not get such luxurious rooms @ Rs. 4000 per month in paying guest accommodations.

A room houses Six kids with a separate bed for each one which is big enough for the baby to move around. Very nice to see the kids having good aayas who come from the Old Age Home they run very near to this Angel Home. So they love the children as they are not aayas but grand mothers. They not only take care of these kids but are playing with them.

We all thought of spending just half an hour but even after one and half hours we were playing with the kids.

Gave Rs. 1000 worth of milk powder and nestum rice packets. Remaining Rs. 5000 which we collected among our friends we gave it in cash as we could not find that special milk powder in bulk. Mentioned the name as AmadaSoft+TMAD while giving the money.

News of Special Interest

Ever wonder how an orphan baby with a serious ailment got admitted in a prestigious hospital! Guess, who would be responsible behind this noble act! Orphanage people, donors, media persons etc., Probably we may not think of some special people. We know still you cannot make it, who it would be.

Doctors. Yes. A group of committed doctors. We usually think that doctors are busy updating their knowledge or using it. If at all anything more, it would be attending medical camps. Else, charging less fee or giving free treatment. But the effort of Dr. Sailakshmi and some of her doctor friends is very commendable.

Dr. Sailakshmi, with the co-operation of another 100 paediatricians, started some organisation under which they will visit the orphanages, homes for children and check up the kids. If any kid has any ailment, they will take them to good hospital. With the support from hospital mgmt. and some donors, they treat these kids either for free or with some subsidy. Baby suchitra is one among them.
